D4J Live Legal Clinic students observed a criminal proceeding

April 5, 2017 – University of Prizren D4J Live Legal Clinic students observed another court hearing at the Basic Court in Prizren, Department for Serious Crimes. In this criminal proceeding the defendant was accused of committing a murder. This hearing was adjourned based on the proposition of the State Prosecutor to invite an expert witness to give the forensic expertise in order to clarify the factual situation. The clinic students were very satisfied for having the opportunity to observe such a court hearing, since in this way they could see firsthand how a criminal proceeding is conducted step by step and experience the practical side of law.
